Feb. 15th, 2006 10:08 amThe Good: The CIO of the company I work for called me "a vastly under-utilized resource" to my boss. She agreed. Looks like there are plenty of possibilities for promotion and growth in the near future.
The Bad: I have not read my brother's selection for
tome_truncheon, which is kinda ridiculous given I started the book club. The copy I ordered from the library was sent back because I neglected to pick it up on time. I plan on just buying a copy and reading it over the next day or two so I can take part in the discussion.
The Funny: My precocious five year old son dead-panning Zorak's "Don't Send in the Clowns" as we walk through the grocery store. Also, he started a William Shatneresque dramatic sing-song of Zingor, last night.
The Inspired: Rent or buy Angel. More mature, intelligent, and daring than Buffy, Angel was intensely funny and compelling, often in the same episode. Some of the stories worked, some of them almost worked, but the series is the most dynamic and evocative show I have seen.
The Bitter: While playing a game of poker on-line, an opponent bet his entire stack into me when I had the best hand. After calling and showing my cards, he typed: "f**king ninja" (my user-pic is the ninja from my old LJ wedding icon). I thought of my brother, and laughed.
